Denver Destroyed & Update

I can't believe it, but my team is falling to pieces, I just read that Linas Kleiza has signed with a European club for $12 Million over the next 2 years, along with all this drama this off-season we lost Dahntay Jones to Indiana Pacers who offered him much bucks for his bang (i.e. 4-year $11 Million contract).  Doesn't all this money being paid to athletes get you a little sick sometimes?  It will be interesting to see how Denver plugs this hole, it couldn't happen at a worst time, when all the good free-agents have already signed with new clubs like Cleveland, Celtics & Spurs.  I can't possibly see how Denver will be a strong contender this season in the Western Conference without pulling some big talent soon. The Melo man needs some help...

Other than that, I've decided to go back to school this year. Hmmm..I know.  It was a toss up between doing another first degree free of cost or pay to do a Masters degree, needless to say I've decided to do a 2nd first degree.  My 1st first degree was in Theology, funny how that sounds, but I have decided to do my 2nd first degree in Management Studies at the University of The West Indies, Cave Hill Campus.  I'm going to do it part-time so I can finish it as quickly as 4 years and take as long as 6 years, I'm aiming to complete it in about 5 years time.  I think Tyneesha now wants to get an LLB (i.e. law degree) to go along with her BA & MA, aren't we such a studious couple, yuck! I never thought I would have studied this much, I have officially decided that my major studies are to be completed before 40.  I think after that, I'd probably just do small programs and courses etc. this is all wishful thinking of course.

I find it interesting that I'm making all these plans and the second Tyneesha & I get a child, I know it will all change, man I better enjoy myself now.  Wait? Did I ever let everyone know I have a Wii!  Oops, I don't think I did.  Guess What?  I have a Wii!  I have a pattern, I come home from a stressful day at work, and I try to spend at least 30 minutes playing Wii Sports or my NBA Live 2009 (All Play).  I'm like pro in every sport minus boxing and golf, your guaranteed to lose weight if you play boxing alot.  We also have "My Fitness Trainer" for both of us, I used it during my basketball season earlier this year to keep fit and now I do it now once a week, just to keep the body lean and mean, Tyneesha uses it when the spirit moves.  Well to close off this post, let me share some recent pictures of us...Royal Caribbean Cruise from Miami to Bahamas last month.

Can Xanga Keep Up?

Here's an interesting question I pose?  Can xanga blogs keep up with the ever increasing social network sites like tweeter and facebook?  I recall just about 4 years ago when hi5.com was the coolest and biggest social network site, now its top of the list of the forgotten.  Fast moving into this list is also myspace.com, facebook has been remarkably been able to maintain its popularity as being the number one social network provided, included everything from online games to match making applications.  Wait, I was just about to post this blog to ensure that I don't lose what I've been working so far on my blog, wow, can't believe that Xanaga can also post directly to facebook.  Look for new posts coming soon...

Movie Reviews

Ok, so we were going to look at Transporter 3 yesterday which I think we're still going to do probably on Monday night, but Tyneesha wanted to see this one, more a chick flick for the ladies, but I don't mind a few chick flicks every now and again, shows the ladies you have soft side.  LOL.    Right!  So it is was alright, nothing to write home about, definitely a chick flick, its hard to rate this genre of movie, so to be safe I'll give it...

It had a nice but weird story line, the acting was average, not much talent needed to make an emotional film, there was some comedy in there, which probably made it bearable.  I'm sure all the ladies will love it and the men will be wondering how far down the popcorn bag can you stick your head.  Ok, so I kid you, it's not that bad, so take your lady to see it, then maybe she'll stop asking you to take out the trash, man when will these jokes stop.  LOL. 

Ok, so the other movie which we had the opportunity to look at was...

I think this means that Clint has brought himself out of retirement to make this film.  First let me tell you what I thought of the film before I give my rating.  So here's an awesome story line, starring a ex-army man gone crazy in a very entertaining role, the movie is listed as a Drama, but I would have to list it as Action/Drama, the only real drama I saw in the entire movie was my wife.  I don't want you ruin it for you who may want to see it, but my wife cried in the final minutes of the movie, which made me laugh, because both her and I had no idea why she was crying.  LOL!    So, I list this one as...

Yep, that means, if you haven't seen it yet, go get that movie.  You know you want to, go get that movie, go on, go on, good boy!  I rarely give out 4 or 5 stars, so Clint had to do something right!  Highly recommended!

Ok, so I haven't blogged much in the last month, the reason, on March 1st we had our Upper Sanctuary of our church dedicated on Sunday after and well I had a lot of responsibility in the preparation work, I'll have to post some pictures later this week.  I couldn't take any myself cause I was the 'voice' of the MC, so I literally chained to the sound booth.  It really came off great and we pulled an attendance of around 750 persons.  It was a sight, but like I said, hopefully the pictures will do it justice.

What about all this news about Rihanna & Chris Brown, if all those rumors are true and they have gotten married, man I am sorry for her.  After CNN carried the story based on the police report on how badly Chris Brown beat her and the threats he made to her.  I know for a fact, that if Chris Brown was ever to come back to visit Barbados he would be beaten inches from death by about half the population.     Not that Barbados is unsafe or crazy, just that Rihanna for a lot of people is like a daughter, so you beat our daughter we beat you.   LOL!  But for real, he would be, I'm sure we wouldn't even be allowed in the country for fear somebody may try to kill him.  I never liked his music but if I did, I would delete it, it's sad that someone with that sort of background where he saw his mother beaten, would turn around and beat his girlfriend.  Sad, I just hope she doesn't allow him of this to ruin her life.

Christmas Day '08

Hi...it's me again...Hahhaa...I know dude sweet, your blogging again already.  All you doubters, yes I'm blogging again.  So I've been home on sick leave last week and today, and well normally I archive our digital pictures and videos off the laptop and place it on an external drive just to improve system performance and in case the computer crashes.  LOL.. Always something I would encourage everyone to do!  So while I was looking through some pictures I came across what my family did last christmas.

Another assistant Pastor at my church invited a few couples over at his house for Christmas lunch, and after lunch we played some games....

Believe it or not but that's my dad playing video games and getting exercise at the same time...WOW!!  That's one of my guys from the youth ministry leadership team, I think he beat everyone including me, what a game tick!!

Here's a better look for you Obama fans...Yes, my dad bought an Obama shirt...it's a funny story, he thought it would be funny too.  It was..."The faces of Obama"...LOL.

My mother didn't want to be left it, so she gave it a try, she was so amazed as to how it works.  But poor mom got beat like 21-2 about four times, oohh, btw we were playing table tennis.

Another shot of the cool Romaine with hands on hip beating my mother relentlessly.  Ok, so much for the Christmas review.  I have this six month package with the movie theater here at home, where I paid like $150 but its like worth $600 no lie, a lot of free popcorn, and nachos with buy one get one free tickets, it is the bomb.  So I kind of have to try to go see movies in the theater very often, which I guess will be cool when there is actually a lot of good movies out there, anyhow I got the chance to check out Mr. Cruise in his new movie Valkyrie...

Why a lowly 3-star rating?  Simple...I was waiting for more.  I mean I had a basic idea of the story line, but it was too simple, one story line no other sub plots or sub characters.  I was hoping that maybe there would be a romantic twist or something but to no avail.  The only cool thing about it is the fact that's based on a true story.  Not too much action either, just enough to prevent you from falling asleep, on this note, my wife feel asleep while watching this with me, so scrap my last comment.  Oh, so my last random thought of the night, if I find out that Chris Brown hit Rihanna I am going to find him and beat him up myself, me and the rest of Barbados.  Till next time...

XANGA REBORN...

Today is a new day...I've decided to re-commence my blog entries here.  So here's a quick update in my last 7 months...

1.  I got married.  5th July 2008
2.  I got my Christmas gift I wanted.  (i.e. Microsoft Flight Simulator X with the real control, footpedals and throttle controls).  My wife is sooooo wonderful!!
3.  I am now an Assistant Pastor at my church: 'Messiah Wesleyan Holiness Worship Centre' or 'Messiah's House'.  My main focus is Youth & Information Technology.
4.  Denver Nuggets is currently 34-16 best 50 game start since they ever joined the NBA.
5.  I always wanted a real surprise Birthday Party, which I got on the 27th January 2009, I'm now 24!
6.  For Chistmas I also needed a new music keyboard since the old one belonged to the church stopped working after 15 years, and as a gift I got a new Yamaha.
7.  My new wish list is now (i) new camera (ii) still looking for a signed basketball with Carmelo Anthony and all Denver Nuggets signatures and Melo's jersey (iii)  still trying to gain some weight.  I'm not sure...I'm a pretty happy camper right now!
